JTBC will air the premiere episode of its new drama, "Laughter Waikiki 2" today, Monday (25/3). Towards the screening of the first episode, director Lee Chang Min and script writer Kim Ki Ho shared his thoughts.
Director Lee Chang Min revealed that the second season's production of the drama was all thanks to the viewers. Because of the love and interest of the audience in the first season, the second season of this drama can be produced.
The director also said that he felt quite burdened because his first season received an extraordinary welcome from the audience. However, he tried to make the drama well so as not to disappoint the audience. "Even though I feel burdened, I have fun with new actors," director Lee Chang Min said.
"There will be a similar atmosphere, which is fun and easy to witness. But, this season will be more funny and the scale of accidents and events experienced by each character will be much greater," said director Lee Chang Min. "Please anticipate and look forward to the events that will be experienced by all three friends."
Scriptwriter Kim Ki Ho also tells about the process he went through in creating each character in the drama's second season. "I thought, 'If someone lives with the first love of their childhood, won't some interesting things happen?' That's how it started, and I tried to think of characters that could liven up the storyline, "said script writer Kim Ki Ho.
The script writer also revealed the purpose behind the telling of the characters in "Laughter Waikiki 2". He also wants to motivate young people to overcome their difficulties.
"New figures are all young people who have difficulty solving problems in their lives, but they have the energy and enthusiasm to pursue their dreams," he explained. "I want to show you how positive energy can overcome difficulties."
