Choi Jong Hoon Officially Kicked From F.T. Island, Signing Agency Has Been Lying - FNC Entertainment as Agency F.T. Island releases official statement regarding the release of Choi Jong Hoon from the group.
Choi Jong Hoon F.T. Island was in the spotlight regarding his involvement in the sex video scandal which also dragged Jung Joon Young and Seungri. This case was revealed after their chat via KakaoTalk group chat was revealed to the public.
Wednesday (13/3) yesterday, a statement posted on DC FTISLAND Gallery demanding that Choi Jong Hoon be expelled from the band. The party who posted it included various crimes currently linked to Choi Jong Hoon, namely drunk driving, police bribery, illegal video recording, and the spread of sex videos.
As if answering the request, FNC Entertainment announced that Choi Jong Hoon had left F.T. Island. This announcement was delivered by the agency which also houses the CN Blue and AOA today, Thursday (3/14). Here's the FNC Entertainment statement:
"It was decided today that Choi Jong Hoon, who has been criticized for his involvement in a series of recent incidents, will leave F.T. Island.
The agency wants to make it clear that there is no intention to hide or cover up the truth about this matter. Previously, based on our trusting relationship, we confirmed with him about what he remembered about past incidents before issuing a statement. We express our deep apologies for causing confusion by releasing inaccurate statements through this process.
There is additional suspicion about illegal acts even though he said he did not remember them, so he would obediently undergo a police investigation this week. Choi Jong Hoon has decided to leave the group forever and will retire from the entertainment industry.
The agency is aware of the severity and feels responsible for this problem. And we will fully cooperate with the police investigation process so that the truth can be clearly identified.
Choi Jong Hoon expressed his apologies to those who were harmed because of his words and actions that were inappropriate and embarrassing in the past. He also deeply regretted the disappointment he gave to many fans and members of his team.
