Gu9udan Reveals His Happiness After Taking Two Gold Medals at 'ISAC' = MBC has broadcast broadcasts of idol sports competitions, "Idol Star Athletics Championship" on Tuesday (5/2) and Wednesday (6/2). Gu9udan himself brought home two gold medals and one bronze medal. They got the gold medal after winning in archery and bowling. While they got a bronze medal after reaching third place in the 400 meter relay branch.
In an interview with local media, Sports Chosun, the members expressed their happiness at bringing three medals at once. They also said that this achievement was achieved solely because of support from Dear Friends, Gu9udan's fandom.
"We are very pleased to receive two gold medals from the 'New Year's Idol Star Athletics Championship' Special Year 'which marks the start of the new year," said Gu9udan member. "We can work hard because we gain strength and support from Dear Friends."
Gu9udan later revealed that they did not believe they could win a gold medal. Because they only practiced for one month and thought of running a match with a little without feeling nervous.
"To be honest, we practiced bowling for a month. We thought, 'let's play the match without feeling nervous.' But we finally got a gold medal for a victory we never imagined, and even set a new record," Gu9udan said. "It was very meaningful and we are very happy. It also feels amazing because we can do the victory ceremony."
Unlike bowling, Gu9udan said that they have shorter training time for archery, which is only half a month. So they feel very worried and anxious when competing.
"We practiced archery for half a month. Because the training time was very short, we felt worried and nervous," Gu9udan said. "There are lots of great teams in archery, so we go to matches by showing the best without paying attention to results."
At the end of his interview, Gu9udan said that the victory they presented to the fans. Not forgetting, the members also wished a happy new year.
"We are very happy to receive the second medal in a row after last year. We want these honors with fellow Gu9udan and Dear Friends members who are always with us," Gu9udan continued. "We wish you a happy new year, and let's run together. Thank you."
