MC Mong addressed affair rumors with Cha Ga Won in a live broadcast.
MC Mong recently clarified affair rumors with Chairman Cha Ga Won in a live broadcast on TikTok. On June 3, 2026, MC Mong announced that he would be speaking to the media through the platform, following the June 2 broadcast of MBC's "MC Mong and the Chairman's K-pop Trade Secrets," which raised various allegations, including the unpaid settlement in ONE HUNDRED and the relationship between him and Cha Ga Won.
In the live broadcast, MC Mong expressed, "I'm also exhausted. I wonder how exhausted the public watching this must be. I'm very sorry about that." He also referred to KakaoTalk messages seemingly confirming their relationship, revealed on the program "PD Note," which were obtained from Cha Ga Won's uncle and garnered significant attention after the broadcast.
MC Mong explained, "The crux of this incident is where it all started," and asserted, "This is an uncle trying to take his nephew's shares." He continued firmly, "PD Note should have verified the authenticity of those KakaoTalk messages, at least with me," and reiterated his denial of the affair, stating, "I went to Las Vegas with the company's CEO, vice-CEO, and the entire staff. If it was a honeymoon, why would it be with the entire staff, not just the two of us?"
MC Mong also referred to the media outlet that first reported the affair between him and Chairman Cha, asserting that the KakaoTalk messages published in the report were fabricated. He shared a court ruling declaring the KakaoTalk messages to be fabricated. "The court has issued an order stating that the KakaoTalk messages are fabricated. They are all manipulated text," MC Mong asserted.
He added that the media outlet is no longer allowed to write articles based on the messages and that sending and distributing them to third parties is prohibited. MC Mong claimed that only the media outlet and Cha's uncle possess the materials, and that they were also provided to PD Note. He warned all media outlets, "They are reusing legally restricted KakaoTalk messages as manipulated text. I'm telling all media companies right now: if you don't delete all the fake KakaoTalk messages after this, I will file a lawsuit and criminal charges against you all." He expressed his anger, saying, "And I absolutely will not tolerate this anymore. You are destroying someone's life."
