BLACKPINK's Jennie dazzled at Governors Ball 2026, her unique grills becoming a hot topic.
BLACKPINK member Jennie Kim captured the spotlight after her performance as the final headliner at "The Governors Ball Music Festival 2026," which took place in New York on June 7. Over the course of an hour, Jennie performed 17 songs, including hits like "Filter," "Damn Right," and "Like JENNIE," and surprised fans with the premiere of an unreleased new song.
However, it wasn't just her stage presence that drew attention. Many social media users noticed Jennie's unique dental accessory. She wore custom grills with a blue rose design that captured the attention of the stage lights.
The grills were reportedly made by Los Angeles-based jeweler Mark Cruz. He explained that the grillz were designed specifically for Jennie's performance at the Governors Ball, specifying "a custom 14K white gold piece with blue rose enamel details and VVS1 grade diamonds." The blue rose detail is known to be one of Jennie's favorite symbols.
Reactions from fans and netizens were mixed. Some fans praised Jennie's look, saying, "Since Jennie wore it, it's going to be a trend again," and "The blue rose detail is so pretty." Meanwhile, others gave mixed responses, such as, "From a distance, it looks like a gap tooth," and "Pretty up close, but a bit overdone from afar."
Following her performance at the Governors Ball, Jennie is scheduled to perform at various other global festivals, including the Roskilde Festival in Denmark, Open'er Festival in Poland, Mad Cool Festival in Spain, Lollapalooza Chicago, and Summer Sonic 2026 in Japan.
