Lee Young Ji's actions shocked the entire audience after she explained her recent plastic surgery at SEVENTEEN's unit concert.
Appearing as a special guest at SEVENTEEN's DxS (Soyagok) ON STAGE concert, Lee Young Ji's candid performance on stage garnered attention, as she admitted to having recently undergone plastic surgery.
At SEVENTEEN's unit concert held on April 19, 2026, at Incheon Inspire Arena, she appeared wearing sunglasses and performed BooSeokSoon's song "Fighting."
She performed as impressively as usual, with no one questioning her appearance.
Feeling the need for clarification, she candidly revealed the reason behind her sunglasses.
She revealed that she had recently undergone plastic surgery to remove fat under her eyes, also known as blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery).
He explained, "I didn't mean to be rude by wearing sunglasses at my seniors' concert today; I had to. I just had lower eyelid fat repositioning surgery a few days ago."
"I'm telling you this in case you misunderstand," he added.
His honesty surprised the entire audience, including Dokyeom and Seungkwan, as it wasn't part of their pre-planned plans.
He then joked, "Thank you so much for your understanding. I was worried that the seniors, who are like gods to me, might misunderstand."
This was met with laughter from the audience, and the two SEVENTEEN members were left speechless.
The rapper's confession didn't stop there. He also shared it on a fan app, where he revealed that he had undergone eye bag fat removal.
"I tried not to talk about it because I was worried it might seem like I wanted plastic surgery, but I just wanted to be honest," he wrote.
She added regarding her major decision to undergo the surgery, "I've been thinking about it for four years.
It's stressful because I'm often told I look tired, even though I'm not."
She promised this would be her first and last plastic surgery and firmly stated that she will not undergo any further procedures.
