BLACKPINK's Jisoo has stated that she has no connection to her brother's controversy and is already living separately from her family.
BLACKPINK's Jisoo emphasized that she has long lived separately from her family and is unrelated to her brother's recent controversy.
The Seoul Gangnam Police Department arrested the perpetrator, Kim, on April 14, 2026, for allegedly being caught red-handed in a sexual harassment case.
Rumors circulated that the perpetrator was the older brother of a famous idol.
On April 20, 2026, lawyer Eun Hyun Ho, representing BLACKPINK's Jisoo, stated that the current controversy had nothing to do with Jisoo.
Jisoo also clarified that she was completely unaware of her brother's personal issues, having lived separately from her family for a long time.
"I've lived apart from my family for a long time due to my trainee life, which began at a young age. I couldn't know or get involved in her personal life," Jisoo explained.
Jisoo's legal representative also corrected the misleading parts and explained that rumors such as "Jisoo founded Blissoo together with her brother" were false.
"He has no connection to Blissoo. Mr. Kim has no legal or managerial ties whatsoever. The company is managed independently without any ties."
"We have not provided any financial or legal support to Mr. Kim and have no contact with him. We have no plans to provide any support in the future," Jisoo's legal representative explained.
They also warned of strong civil and criminal legal action against the spread of false information and the dissemination of Jisoo's name, photos, or image by linking them to matters unrelated to her.
