Doh Kyung Soo, or D.O. of EXO, held his first solo concert in Indonesia, titled "DO IT in JAKARTA," on Saturday (August 9, 2025) at the Indonesia Arena, promoted by CK Star ID. This marks Kyung Soo's first visit to Indonesia after holding a fancon in Jakarta in 2024.
Kyung Soo delighted his fans with his beautiful yet adorable voice and stage presence. Here are some interesting aspects of Kyung Soo's concert that are sure to cause many people to experience PCD (post-concert depression).
1. His Voice Was Immediately Powerful
Kyung Soo, accompanied by a band, opened the concert with a song from his latest album, "Do You Remember?". His appearance on stage was immediately greeted by enthusiastic screams from the eagerly awaiting fans.
Kyung Soo's voice was not only beautiful, but its power could truly be felt throughout the venue. He then continued with the songs "Nobody Knows" and "Wonder," which also heated up the atmosphere.
2. Showing Off His Super Beautiful Voice
Those who have followed Kyung Soo since his debut with EXO will surely know that. And in this solo concert, Kyung Soo truly demonstrated the quality of his beautiful yet melodious voice, as if it could soothe the listener's heart and feel as if it were being doused with cool water.
Kyung Soo especially showcased his vocal abilities in the songs "It's Love," "My Dear," "I Do," "That's Okay," "I'll Be There," "Draw My Path," and "In Another Life." Every time Kyung Soo made an ad-lib or finished a song, the SECRET: UNTOLD MELODY actor was met with applause and screams of admiration. He deserves it all because Kyung Soo makes his songs even more beautiful and enjoyable to listen to when sung live.
3. Admiration for Fans
This isn't Kyung Soo's first time in Jakarta, Indonesia. But Kyung Soo admitted he's always amazed by the passion of his Indonesian fans. He expressed this during a performance session, during a break from singing.
"Your strength and energy are truly extraordinary," Kyung Soo said, then boasted about eating fried rice for lunch, which gave him his strength during the performance.
Kyung Soo was also proud of the fans who sang along with him. "How can you sing so well?"
4. Teasing Fans
Kyung Soo isn't just admiring his fans; he can also tease them. For example, when Kyung Soo was still inside and the fans were playing a song and singing along.
Kyungsoo said he heard it backstage. "You guys can't hear the Korean lyrics, but when the English part comes on, your voices are really loud," Kyung Soo said.
During the encore, Kyung Soo also said the fans' chants for an encore weren't loud enough, and he initially didn't want to return to the stage. But he was only joking and then laughed sweetly.
5. Confused: "I Don't Want to Go Home, I Want to Be Shaken"
During the encore, the fans chanted in unison, "I don't want to go home, I want to be shaken." Kyung Soo immediately looked confused, as he couldn't hear. He even took out his in-ears, but he was still confused as to what the fans were saying. "This isn't Korean, is it?" Kyung Soo asked, asking the fans to speak again.
Kyung Soo finally understood after the translator explained it through his in-ears, and he said he didn't want to go home either.
6. Fan Project Video
During a group photo session, Kyung Soo received a surprise in the form of a video project comprising fan-submitted photos. Fans took photos of food from all over Indonesia to show Kyung Soo, a food lover.
"So you guys also enjoy delicious food, huh? It's okay to represent me," said Kyung Soo, adding that he wanted to travel around for a culinary tour.
Kyung Soo then promised to return with an even better album and performance. Hopefully, Doh Kyung Soo will be back soon!
