Kim So Hyun will soon greet the audience through the drama 'Serendipity's Embrace'. The drama, which also stars Chae Jong Hyeop, will air starting July 22.
Kim So Hyun was a guest star on the YouTube program "Inssadong Sulzzi" hosted by Lee Chaeyeon on Wednesday (10/7). On that occasion, this 1999-born actress revealed the strict rules regarding outfits on drama shooting locations.
In that episode, Chaeyeon initially said that So Hyun contacted her before they filmed "Inssadong Sulzzi". "Before coming here, suddenly a call came in. So Hyun asked, 'Chaeyeon, what clothes are you wearing?'," said Chaeyeon.
Chaeyeon was quite surprised by So Hyun's question about the outfit she was wearing. So Hyun is apparently worried that she won't be allowed to wear clothes with similar colors to Chaeyeon. The reason is, the outfit matter was arranged at the drama shooting location.
So Hyun explained the strict rules by saying, "In dramas, there are rules like no outfits that have overlapping colors. So the stylists discuss with each other, 'We wear these clothes', so that they don't overlap."
This rule applies not only to actresses, but also actors. "It doesn't matter if it's a man or a woman. That's why I worry if the color of the clothes is too similar. 'Should I avoid that?', like that," said So Hyun.
Because of that question, Chaeyeon misunderstood So Hyun as a woman who really cared about her dressing style. "Because she asked that, I thought, every time So Hyun has a schedule, she cares about things like this, right? Is she this careful?" Chaeyeon answered.
On the other hand, So Hyun will soon greet the audience through the drama "Serendipity's Embrace". The story is about young people who find true love and their dreams after accidentally meeting their first love 10 years ago.
So Hyun plays Lee Hong Joo, an animation producer who is afraid of love because of painful memories from a previous relationship. "Serendipity's Embrace" which also stars Chae Jong Hyeop will air starting July 22. (wk/charity)
