On July 1, the agency of famous young content creator Seo Eve, Soon Entertainment stated, "The baseless malicious posts directed at Seo Eve have reached a very serious level."

Seo Eve is a young content creator with 470,000 followers on the TikTok platform.

Last April, the young content creator released the digital single "Malatanghulu" as well as a dance challenge from the song "Malatanghulu" which then became very viral on the TikTok platform.

However, Seo Eve's popularity was also accompanied by malicious comments and sexual posts aimed at the young artist.

After careful consideration with a law firm, Seo Eve's agency finally filed a lawsuit on June 21 for violating the Law on the Protection of Children and Adolescents from Sexual Offenses and the Law on Defamation.

Apart from filing a lawsuit, Soon Entertainment's agency also issued a warning, saying, "Considering the harsh posts directed at underage artists, we will take legal action to protect the rights of these artists."

They added, “We continue to collect evidence in real-time using every means available with multiple personnel, including law firms.”

The malicious posts and comments that were the target of the agency's lawsuit were collected from various portal and community sites such as Nate, Theqoo, DC Inside, Instiz, Ilbe Storehouse and Naver, as well as social media platforms.

The lawyer appointed to handle this case explained, "Writing malicious posts or comments is a criminal act and can result in criminal penalties such as fines if found guilty."

Responding to the lawsuit that has been filed, Seo Eve's agency further stated, "Even though it may take several months to more than a year from the filing of the lawsuit to the completion of the investigation, we will continue to strive to eradicate serious criminal acts such as sexual violations and defamation against artists under age."

Finally, they also stressed, “We will respond firmly and without leniency against those who have violated artists' rights under any circumstances.” /kpopchart.net
