The South Korean entertainment world has recently been hit by grief. One of the contestants in "Phantom Singer" season 2, Cho Min Woong, reportedly died at the age of 37.


According to Korean media reports on Saturday (6/7), Min Woong was found unconscious at his home on June 29. He reportedly suffered a sudden heart attack.


In fact, previously Min Woong was very active in promotional activities and appeared on KBS 1 "Open Concert". Min Woong's passing also made netizens, especially fans, feel sad.

"My dear Min Woong, we love each other and always support each other. This news is so heartbreaking that I am very shocked and cannot accept this reality," said Seo Kyung. "Play your favorite music in the sky as much as you want. I also pray for the deceased's peace."


Singer Mr. Boombox also expressed his condolences. He also didn't expect Min Woong to leave so quickly.


"Brother. Why did you go this far when you said you would meet soon? I'm so sad. Sing beautifully in the sky. I'm sorry, I love you," said Boombox.


Meanwhile, Min Woong's career journey in the world of South Korean music entertainment has been full of twists and turns. After graduating from Seoul Arts High School and Yonsei University's vocal music department, he dropped out of Manhattan School of Music. However, he instead won first place in the Haydn International Competition.
