Kim Sae Ron Driving When Drunk
Director of 'Bloodhounds', Kim Joo Hwan explained about the team's hard work when answering why he couldn't completely erase Kim Sae Ron's part who was dragged into a DUI case.
Netflix series "Bloodhounds" holds a press conference ahead of its premiere. The main cast as well as the director were present to greet the reporters.
Questions related to the Kim Sae Ron scene explained cannot be deleted in this series, although being dragged into a driving under the influence or DUI case certainly arises. Previously, Netflix had explained that "Bloodhounds" did not completely remove Sae Ron's appearance.
Director Kim Joo Hwan confessed that he was worried about how to answer questions regarding Sae Ron. However, he remained confused to give a response.
"I've thought about this question a lot, but after hearing those words, my head turned white," admitted the director.
Director Joo Hwan further explained that he could not undermine the hard work of the "Bloodhound" team who dedicated themselves to completing this work by sacrificing thousands of hours. So, he couldn't get rid of Sae Ron in the story because the team's hard efforts could be in vain.
Even so, the director made sure that Sae Ron's appearance was minimized as much as possible in the hope that the audience would not be too uncomfortable. In addition, the story in "Bloodhound" can change without the Sae Ron scene.
"This is work that a lot of people put in thousands or tens of thousands of hours. A lot of hard work went into it, and I thought I shouldn't underestimate the effort. So, I worked in a way to minimize the number (of Sae Ron scenes) so that the viewers don't get too excited." feel uncomfortable," said the director.
"I think the story should not be interrupted, and I tried to maintain a level of perfection when editing the numbers," continued Director Joo Hwan.
Meanwhile, "Bloodhounds" is a webtun adaptation series that tells about two young men (Woo Do Hwan and Lee Sang Yi) who enter the world of loan sharks to chase money and get caught in a much darker web of forces. This series will be premiered on Friday (9/6) with a total of 8 episodes that will be broadcast live. (wk/alpha)
