Regarding Yoo Ah In's drug case, the police explained the reasons for the slow investigation process in a recent press conference.

The drug case that dragged Yoo Ah In is currently still ongoing. Regarding the time required, the police also opened their voices about the slowness of the investigation process.

On Monday (1/5), Yoon Hee Geun as Head of the National Police Agency spoke about drug investigations including the Ah In case. This was revealed in a press conference held by the National Police Agency in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul.

Chief Yoon explains why the investigation into Ah In's drug case takes so long that it tends to be slow. The reason is because of the many types of drugs used. Even Chief Yoon also compares it to the Don Spike case.

"Unlike the Don Spike case, where he only paid money to buy drugs, Yoo Ah In's information was received from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) investigation and related to drugs and various other issues," explained the Head. yoon.

In addition, Chief Yoon added that the target of the investigation increased because many were involved in the Ah In case. Even the police are planning to expand the investigation.

"There are several targets and hospitals that need to be investigated to prove it. There are many things that need to be investigated and analyzed," Chief Yoon added. "We plan to carry out additional investigations into those involved, including Yoo Ah In."

Meanwhile, Ah In was suspected of having used propofol illegally since 2021. The investigation that started in November 2022 found the actor's name among 51 people suspected of excessive propofol use.

On February 5, Ah In did a simple urine test at Incheon International Airport after returning from America. The results of the investigation found that the actor consumed cannabis while propofol was negative. Since then, he was forbidden to go abroad.

Apart from being indicated for using propofol and marijuana, Ah In also tested positive for cocaine and ketamine and finally zolpidem. From the results of a house search, 10,000 pieces of evidence were found for this case. A source said the actor has put together a lavish defense team for this case. (wk/inta)
