At the end of April, it was announced that Joy was forced to take a temporary hiatus from her activities in the entertainment industry. On Wednesday (26/4), SM Entertainment revealed that the Red Velvet member's health condition was not good.
About a week passed, Joy opened her own voice for the first time on Thursday (4/5). Through the message he wrote via Bubble. The idol who was born in 1996 realized that many people were worried about him.
"Hey, hasn't it been a long time Luvies. I was hoping to convey this letter to everyone who might be worried about me and who is waiting for me, so I'll use a formal speech!!" wrote Joy.
"My heart is heavy with worry thinking about Luvies who might be worried and tired from the endless waiting, but I'm finally starting to get a little better, and just gave an update even though a lot of time has passed, please forgive me," he added.
Joy emphasized that she was resting and recuperating. "In the beginning, it made me feel uncomfortable because I was putting everything down and trying to dedicate my time only to myself," she confided.
But thanks to the support of Red Velvet members, people at SM Entertainment and fans, Joy made it through. "I will put all my effort into getting better so I can see you guys again," promised the idol.
Joy also feels sorry to be forced to take a hiatus from the Red Velvet concert tour which is currently taking place in various countries. "I'm very sorry for all of our Luvies who worried about me. I couldn't stand on stage with the other members. My heart is full of apologies," he continued.
Joy admits that she needed a lot of debate before finally deciding to write letters to fans. But he mustered up the courage. He also revealed messages from other Red Velvet members to him.
"Every member, when they contact me, say, 'Put yourself first! You matter the most!', and that gives me strength, so I want to say the same to our Luvies. If you're struggling, say it out loud and take care of yourself first." before," said Joy.
