RAVI VIXX Accused of Using Military Jockey
VIXX's Ravi was revealed to have admitted that he had cheated to be able to serve in the military as a social worker as previously accused of him and investigated for the case.
The warrant for the arrest of VIXX's Ravi on charges of escaping from military service by falsifying a medical certificate to have epilepsy is cancelled. This was because he felt that he was showing no signs of escaping or trying to destroy evidence.
The court ruled that an arrest was unnecessary as Ravi had admitted the charges. This means that it is true that Ravi cheated on military service.
"It's hard to say if there is a possibility of escaping or tampering with evidence," explained Seoul Southern District Court deputy judge Kim Ji Sook.
"The charges are grave, but given the objective evidence gathered so far, the suspect has admitted to the charges. His residence and occupation are constant, and when inferred from various circumstances, such as social ties, it's hard to say if there is a sizeable need for the suspect at this stage." this," explained Deputy Judge Kim Ji Sook.
On March 2, the Seoul Southern Prosecutors' Office special investigation team filed an arrest warrant for Ravi. He was charged on suspicion of trying to evade military service through a broker who had been previously arrested. His case was brought to court for falsifying a diagnosis of epilepsy.
If proven to have falsified his health certificate, it is revealed that Ravi will carry out his mandatory military service as a soldier as he should. Even so, the decision has not been formalized considering it is still in the investigation stage.
The procuratorate itself has handed over 23 people to court over the words of the broker "Mr. Gu" who has confessed to helping men avoid military service. Apart from Ravi, there are 100 people including professional athletes to male celebrities who are also being investigated for this fraudulent military service.
After Ravi, Song Duk Ho "Hospital Playist" was also reportedly investigated for avoiding military service. He even got fired from the drama he starred in because of this problem. Song Duk Ho's own agency promised that the actor would cooperate with the investigation. (wk/alpha)
