According to an exclusive report from Sports Today, NCT's first member unit will consist of Doyoung, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo. The three are currently preparing for their unit debut album.
Good news has come from NCT, especially the NCT 127 subunit. The boy group made by SM Entertainment will launch its first official member unit with NCT DoJaeJung consisting of Doyoung, Jaehyun and Jungwoo.
According to an exclusive report from Sports Today, NCT's first member unit will consist of Doyoung, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo. The three are currently preparing for their unit debut album with the aim of releasing it in the first half of 2023.
This coincides with SM Entertainment's previously released plans for an NCT Unit release within this year. Previously, fans suspected that the unit in question was NCT Tokyo (temporary name) with members Shotaro and Sungchan and other members who have not been announced.
Up until now, NCT had been using the name NCT U as their rotating member unit, but NCT DoJaeJung will reportedly be a permanent unit in itself. The three of them had actually performed together, performing the song "Can We Go Back" at the NCT concerts and the 2022 MBC Gayo Daejejeon.
Additionally, Doyoung, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo previously performed a medley of Christmas songs ahead of the 2022 holidays. SM Entertainment has since confirmed that NCT's DoJaeJung is currently preparing for their first unit album.
"NCT Doyoung, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo are preparing for their first unit album. We will share the details when confirmed. Please look forward to it," said SM Entertainment.
Meanwhile, NCT 127 completed promotions for their k-4 repackaged album, "Ay-Yo", in February 2022 and the concert tour "NEO CITY: THE LINK" also concluded at the end of January with shows in Latin America. (wk/goddess)
