BIGHIT MUSIC, as the agency that oversees RM BTS, provided a response regarding the case of violation of privacy that befell the artist.
According to an exclusive report from SBS, a Korail employee was caught looking for BTS RM's personal information in the passenger database during an internal audit.
The employee not only gets the train ticket number RM bought, but also the phone number and address associated with the account RM used to register on the KORAIL website.
The employee misused RM's personal information 18 times since 2019 so that his acquaintances could book seats close to RM.
In response to the controversy, BIGHIT MUSIC gave the stance, "We will verify the details."
"After that, we will take the necessary steps to protect our artist," said the agency.
