Minji NewJeans Becomes Chanel's Korean Ambassador, First in History to Advertise Three Fields at Once

Minji graces the cover of fashion magazine ELLE Korea for its March issue. This is the first time for the singer born in 2004 since his debut to appear alone on the cover of ELLE Korea.


Minji NewJeans proves its popularity as a top idol by working with one of the most famous designer brands in the world. The "Ditto" singer was simultaneously selected as Chanel Korea's ambassador in three categories.

On February 14, ADOR agency NewJeans retweeted an article that read, "NewJeans member Minji will be active as the official ambassador for Chanel Korea Beauty, Fashion, and Watch & Jewelry, making her the first person to serve as ambassador for all three areas simultaneously."

In this photoshoot which was done under the concept of "Minji's Colorful Wonderland", the idol wore the Chanel look and makeup with a chic and confident attitude. The NewJeans leader shows off her charms as a feminine and elegant girl.

In her interview with ELLE, Minji said, "The best reaction was that I felt good during (NewJeans)'s performance", and added, "I'm proud that our energy on stage was really well conveyed."

On the other hand, even though they are still rookies, NewJeans members are active as various brand ambassadors and advertising models both at home and abroad. The group is also doing very well in the music field, with the title song "OMG" and the b-side "Ditto" in their new single entering the US Billboard "Hot 100".
