K-drama fans may be familiar with "Princess Hours", the drama starring Joo Ji Hoon and Yoon Eun Hye. This adaptation of the manhwa was very popular when it was released in 2016, and was loved by many viewers when it aired in Indonesia.

"Auditions for the drama remake of 'Princess Hours' are being discussed among several actors. One of the actors who will be auditioning is said to have started preparing for acting and preparing visuals in earnest with the aim of appearing in the 'Princess Hours' remake," he said.

Previously in 2021, there was talk that the drama "Princess Hours" based on the manhwa by writer Park So Hee would be remade. However, the production schedule cannot be determined due to unfavorable factors such as the Corona pandemic.

Nevertheless, now that news of auditions for "Princess Hours" has surfaced, expectations for a full-scale production have increased. In this regard, an official from the production company GROUP8 said that a remake of "Princess Hours" is being planned.

"Currently, the remake of 'Princess Hours' is in the planning stages. There is a lot of work in production, so it is difficult to produce within this year. Therefore, production is likely to start as early as early next year. However, variables remain in the meantime. "

If production starts early next year, the "Princess Hours" remake is expected to wrap in the middle or second half of 2024.

"Princess Hours" is a work that takes place in a fictional Korea, where there is still a constitutional monarchy. Here, based on an old promise, the male lead, a crown prince, and the female protagonist, an ordinary high school student, are betrothed. The 2006 version of the drama featuring Joo Ji Hoon and Yoon Eun Hye received a lot of love with ratings reaching 27.1%. Since then, "Princess Hours" has also been adapted into a novel and a musical.
