Playing the role of a couple in 'Call it Love', Lee Sung Kyung and Kim Young Kwang became the gossip of the crew on the set because they were thought to be really dating.
Lee Sung Kyung and Kim Young Kwang were revealed to be the subject of gossip in the "Call it Love" editing room. In this Disney+ original drama, they play lovers.
Before finally working together, Lee Sung Kyung and Kim Young Kwang already knew each other. Even so, this is their first time acting together. According to Kim Young Kwang, Lee Sung Kyung himself gives a different persona as his character, Woo Joo.
"I felt foreign from Lee Sung Kyung's appearance in this work. However, his gestures and mature tone of voice helped me immerse myself in my character," said Kim Young Kwang at the Disney Content Showcase held in Singapore on December 1.
Through Lee Sung Kyung, Kim Young Kwang claimed to be more able to deepen his character as Han Dong Jin. Then they were asked if they felt love while immersing themselves with the characters. Both turned out to have interesting answers.
"My heart trembles a little when we make eye contact or are in the same room," said Lee Sung Kyung.
"I remember there were times when I fell in love with his character in the drama," said Kim Young Kwang.
Furthermore, director Lee Kwang Young divulged what he heard from the "Call it Love" crew. It turned out that the editing crew had wondered whether Lee Sung Kyung and Kim Young Kwang were really dating.
"I heard that many people in the editing room saw the change in the eyes of the two actors and expressions of wondering if the two of them were really dating," said the director.
Meanwhile, "Call it Love" tells of Woo Joo who fainted after learning about his father's affair and was kicked out of the house by his mistress. While plotting revenge, Woo Joo falls in love with Han Dong Jin, the son who ruined her life.
