RM BTS Ready to Go to Military Service, Respond Santuy Pros and Cons

After releasing 'INDIGO', RM BTS answered the question of what his solo activities had to do with military enlistment. Responding to the pros and cons regarding BTS' military service, this is RM's opinion.

RM BTS has officially become a soloist after releasing an album titled "INDIGO" on Friday (2/12). In an interview regarding his solo debut with Variety, the owner of the name Kim Namjoon frankly shared his thoughts on military service.

As a story summary album at the age of 20, RM received questions about whether "INDIGO" had anything to do with his military plans. In particular, RM was asked if this was an opportunity to share a final message before serving in the military. However, apparently the BTS leader had no considerations regarding military service when working on this album.

"When I made this album, I didn't know what would actually happen, like when or how. So I tried my best but I don't think it's because of my military service. It's just because I hardly have time to concentrate on my personal matters because BTS is so busy and hectic for a decade," said RM.

Even though it hasn't been confirmed when he will leave for the army, RM gave his opinion about the country's assignment. As is well known, BTS' conscription enlistment has so far been colored by pros and cons from both the public and politicians.

In response to the pros and cons that overshadowed BTS' military duties, RM still sincerely expressed his honest opinion. According to him, everyone must fulfill the obligations imposed on them, including RM himself.

"There is nothing positive or negative in this, because, you know, this is just conscription and it's the law, so everyone must submit to serving in the military. So I don't think there are points of judgment that I can say are positive or negative," continued RM.

For RM, military service is inevitable. So that the 1994-born idol can choose to stay calm about it.

"It's just a situation that I have to go through, so I'm calm and I'm ready to live the life I have to go through," said RM.

Meanwhile, RM plans to hold a small-scale show on the occasion of the release of the album "INDIGO". He will only invite 200 ARMY as performance content.

Currently, BTS is focusing on their individual activities. The plan is for this group to return to activities together in 2025 after all members have completed their mandatory military service.

Jin will be the first BTS member to leave after withdrawing his request for postponement of military service. Then the members will enlist sequentially according to their respective plans. (wk/inta)
