Jung Hae In Chosen by Director 'Connect' Vibes Effect 'Handsome and Lonely'

Director Takashi Miike revealed that he chose Jung Hae In as the main character in the Disney+ original series, 'Connect' because of the 'handsome and lonely' vibes it exudes.

The main cast and director of the original Disney+ drama "Connect" are known to have just held a press conference this afternoon, Monday, December 5 at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. It is known that this drama will premiere on Wednesday, December 7.

Director Takashi Miike also revealed the reason for choosing Jung Hae In to play the main character, Ha Dong Soo. Director Takashi Miike revealed that he felt Jung Hae In had "handsome and lonely guy" vibes.

Even so, the Japanese director understands that Ha Dong Soo's character is very difficult to describe. Director Takeshi Miike said he was very grateful because Jung Hae In could play Ha Dong Soo so well.

"Ha Dong Soo is a person who lives in loneliness. An actor needs solitude to express Ha Dong Soo. I think it will be very difficult to play him," explained Director Takeshi Miike.

"When I see Jung Hae In or watch the works he stars in, I think he is very handsome and cool. I also think, 'This person must be lonely because such a handsome person is even a top star. God is not fair if he is not lonely', " said Director Takeshi Miike.

"I feel that Jung Hae In is very suitable for Ha Dong Soo, and I am grateful that he expresses this character well," explained the director of "Connect".

Meanwhile, "Connect" itself is an adaptation of the popular webtun of the same name by Shin Dae Sung which tells of a mysterious story about a man whose body parts were stolen by organ hunters and his relationship with people who receive organ transplants.

Jung Hae In plays Ha Dong Soo, a figure who cannot die. Go Kyung Pyo will show a psychopathic side through the character Oh Jin Seob in "Connect". Check out the "Connect" trailer here. (wk/alpha)
