'EXO PLANET 6' recently became a trending topic on Twitter after reports about EXO circulated on the platform. EXO-L anticipates that EXO might start a new world tour in 2023.
On December 11, several EXO fans shared reports mentioning the boy group, along with other artists under SM Entertainment. At the beginning of the article it was stated, "EXO and other concerts (will) continue," implying that SM artists including EXO will be holding another series of concerts in the near future.
Towards the end, the report said, "It is seen that NCT, EXO, and aespa, who have a strong fandom, will benefit the most (SM shares in 2023) from the concert resumption."
Because of this, EXO-L anticipates that EXO might embark on a new world tour in 2023. Thousands of fans started using the phrase "EXO PLANET 6" as they expressed their excitement on Twitter.
In fact, this isn't the first time fans have talked about this. On November 5, tiketX Official tweeted about SM Entertainment's upcoming artist shows, including NCT Dream's "The Dream Show 2", "SMTOWN" concert, and "EXO PLANET 6".
Within hours of the tweet being made, the phrase "EXO PLANET 6" was trending on Twitter in many countries. Millions of fans have been waiting for the tour since the group was on hiatus for over a year due to its members' mandatory military service.
On December 10, Suho also sparked fans' enthusiasm through his message on Bubble. The leader wrote, "Baekhyun will be here soon. Please wait a little longer" implying that EXO will be making a comeback as a group shortly after Baekhyun is discharged from the military early next year.
In addition, EXO's latest world tour, "EXO PLANET 5", took place in 2019 and not all members were able to perform at that time. Coincidentally, according to SM Entertainment's schedule in 2023, EXO will be holding a fan meeting and/or concert.
