As The Three Trainees Introduced Themselves, The Youngest One Bowed When He Revealed His Name, Seunghan. That Simple Introduction Got Interesting Reactions From Taeyong.
Through the "Welcome to NCT Universe" program, NCT members and SMROOKIES trainees learn new things about each other. That includes the ages of the trainees, which surprised Taeyong NCT 127.
As the three trainees introduced themselves, the youngest bowed when he revealed his name, Seunghan, and he was born in 2003. The simple introduction earned an interesting reaction from Taeyong.
After briefly expressing how "cute" Seunghan was, Taeyong couldn't help but check whether he had misheard Seunghan's age. With a surprised expression as he stepped forward, Taeyong asked, "Are you 10 years old?"
Taeyong isn't the only member of NCT who is surprised by Seunghan's age. During the same episode, Seunghan got a funny reaction by referring to NCT Dream's youngest member, Jisung, as hyung (a nickname for an older boy).

With an eight year age difference between Taeyong and Seunghan, it's understandable why the leader of NCT 127 was so surprised. Especially considering that so far the NCT members are used to Jisung as the youngest member but now there is Seunghan who is a year younger than him.
In another segment on "Welcome to NCT Universe", Sungchan revealed what Jungwoo was like when he was a trainee. The two members did spend a training period together before Jungwoo debuted in 2018 and Sungchan in 2020.
There, Taeyong asked if it was difficult to approach Jungwoo at that time. SMROOKIES's Eunseok said, "It's not hard to approach him, but..." Sungchan interrupted and made everyone laugh when he said, "He (Jungwoo) disciplined us."
Putting their jokes aside, Jungwoo explained why he looked a little stern at the time. He just wanted to do his best to take care of the other trainees, especially the ones younger than him. (wk/goddess)
