Kim Young Dae-Park Ju Hyun And Kim Woo Seok Spill Love Triangle In 'The Forbidden Marriage' Poster

New 'The Forbidden Marriage' Poster Introduces Viewers To The Drama's Three Leading Cast, Who End Up Involved In Each Other's Lives In Unexpected Ways.

MBC is actively promoting its latest drama "The Forbidden Marriage". Adapted from the web novel of the same name, “The Forbidden Marriage” will star Kim Young Dae as King Yi Heon, who falls into despair after the death of his wife and ends up banning marriage in his kingdom.

Seven years after losing his wife (played by IZ*ONE's Kim Min Ju), then the crown princess, he finds a con artist named So Rang (Park Ju Hyun) who claims that he can be possessed by the spirit of the late princess.

The new poster introduces viewers to the drama's three main cast, who end up entangled in each other's lives in unexpected ways. They also hint at the intricate dynamics between the three characters: while So Rang boldly raises a brush towards the king with one hand, the other hand is tied by a rope held by Uigeumbu officer Lee Shin Won (Kim Woo Seok).

Kim Young Dae's poster depicts his character Yi Heon as “a king who has ordered a marriage ban for the past seven years.” Seemingly referring to his disapproving mumbling about his reign, Yi Heon asks in his caption, “Do you also see me as a crazy tyrant?”

Meanwhile, So Rang's charm and bold and passionate personality are reflected in Park Ju Hyun's poster. Defending her profession as an underground matchmaker during an illegal marriage, So Rang protested innocently, “Why am I a fraud? I'm just a messenger of love for young men and women."

Lastly, Kim Woo Seok's poster hints at his character Lee Shin Won's one-sided love story. Revealing why he chose his profession, Lee Shin Won said, “I want to become an investigator. Because I thought at the time, I might be able to find my missing bride.” Meanwhile, “The Forbidden Marriage” will premiere on December 9 at 9:50 p.m. KST. KST. (wk/aiss)
