On November 25, Blockberry Creative Confirmed That Chuu Was No Longer A Member Following Various Rumors And Speculation From Fans About His Pending Resignation.
After a dispute over an exclusive contract, Chuu has officially been kicked out of LOONA. This was confirmed by the agency that oversees LOONA, Blockberry Creative, today, Friday (11/25).
On November 25, Blockberry Creative confirmed that Chuu would no longer be a member after various rumors and speculation from fans regarding his pending withdrawal from the girl group. According to the label, Chuu was kicked out of the group due to alleged "abuse of power", including his alleged offensive language towards staff.
Blockberry Creative stated, "We announce that our artist Chuu has been removed from LOONA as of November 25, 2022. There have been many stories about Chuu, but the company and the LOONA members have said nothing to prevent problems regarding team and fan development."
Considering the reasons above, Blockberry Creative finally decided to remove Chuu from the group. "Because of LOONA's affection for the team and the fans' consideration, they try their best to show good appearances and content instead of telling the truth."
The agency continued, "We recently investigated Chuu's abuse of power, including abusive language towards our staff. The current head of the company apologized and comforted the staff. We decided to take responsibility and expel Chuu from LOONA.
They also apologized to fans for this decision. "We sincerely apologize to the fans who have loved and supported LOONA until now and apologize that the 12 members couldn't stay together until the end. We and LOONA will do our best to make sure something like this doesn't happen in the future."
In related news, there has been speculation that Chuu will be leaving LOONA after he was reported to be setting up his own agency late last month. Blockberry Creative is also suspected of not treating Chuu well while the idol is carrying out his individual schedules. (wk/goddess)
