BLACKPINK swept the iTunes music charts worldwide with “BORN PINK” and “Shut Down”.
Launch Soompi, Saturday (17/9/2022), BLACKPINK made a comeback with their second full-length album “BORN PINK” on September 16. Upon its release, both the album and its new title track "Shut Down" shot to the top of iTunes charts in many countries around the world.
According to YG Entertainment on September 17, "BORN PINK" has reached No. 1 on the iTunes Top Albums chart in at least 54 different regions, including the United States and the United Kingdom. “BORN PINK” has also reached number 1 on the Apple Music Top Albums chart in 60 different territories.
Meanwhile, "Shut Down" has soared to No. 1 on the iTunes Top Songs chart in 43 different regions worldwide and topped QQ Music's realtime chart in China.
