BLACKPINK's newest song Pink Venom made a historic debut at the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) by becoming the first K-pop artist to release a number 1 song on the ARIA singles chart.
As is known, BLACKPINK recently made a comeback with their new pre-release single titled Pink Venom on August 19, 2022.
Reported by Soompi, Sunday (28/8/2022) BLACKPINK's new pre-release single Pink Venom entered the ARIA Singles Chart at number 1 and made them the first K-pop artist in history to debut a song at number 1. BLACKPINK is the first and only K-pop group. second overall Kpop artist to ever reach #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart.
The only other K-pop artist to top the chart to date is PSY, who previously rose to number 1 with his hit Gangnam Style in 2012.
