The winner is determined by combining the points earned from previous battle rounds as well as during the final broadcast round which takes into account domestic or global music chart streaming scores, YouTube views, fan votes, and live text message votes. Fans can stream songs that have been released by six teams for the final round and the streaming scores will be included in the final ranking.
However, fans and netizens found that Spotify's streaming numbers were slightly different from the ratings indicated by Mnet. According to Spotify, VIVIZ has the second highest streaming number after LOONA. However, in the Mnet streaming rankings, VIVIZ is in third place following LOONA and Cosmic Girls.
Therefore, many netizens started to question the counting method because they believed that VIVIZ should have more streams than Cosmic Girls. Many began to suspect that Mnet had rigged the scoring system as they had before.
However, Mnet released an official statement to deny the accusation that the final result of 'Queendom 2' was rigged. Nevertheless, there are many netizens and international fans who still believe that Mnet has rigged the judgment and posted new "evidence" to support their claims. A netizen entered the data they collected showing changes in the voting rate and analyzed the data.
This sparked another discussion when the data was shared as more netizens questioned whether Mnet really rigged their judgment or not. Many Korean netizens still believe that according to global and South Korean music chart rankings, LOONA will be the winner followed by VIVIZ in second place.
"Music chart rankings in my opinion are weirder," commented the fan. "If Mnet calculates the score correctly, LOONA will win with VIVIZ in second place," wrote another. "It's very clear that the score was rigged," another commented.
"I can't trust Mnet anymore," wrote another. "Once again it's Mnet and Starship lol," said another fan. "So this original poster said that there was a spike in streaming at any given time?" fan comments. "Votes and music chart ratings are all strange to me," wrote another.
