Suzy is sure to return to greet her loyal fans with an impressive acting transformation soon. The former member of girl group Miss A will be taking on a new challenge by playing two roles in Coupang Play's original drama "Anna".
On June 21, the press conference for Coupang Play series "Anna" was held in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul where Suzy, Jung Eun Chae, Kim Jun Han and Park Ye Young attended the event and shared their thoughts.
"Anna" itself is a drama depicting the story of a woman who begins to live the life of a completely different person by telling a small lie. Director Lee Joo Young, who was once known through the 2017 film "Single Rider" then took a megaphone for this latest drama.
On that occasion Suzy said, "The script was very fun. When I read the script, I had a lot of indescribable feelings. I felt bad for Yumi's character, but strangely I also empathized with her. I read the script with feelings and hope that her lies would not be exposed. . And I really want to play her role. This character is very charming and is a character that I want to play as an actress."
"I asked for advice from a psychologist to express Yumi's character and Anna's character," he added. "It was very helpful. I think I received a lot of help in revealing the details of Anna's anxiety that she experienced after becoming 'Anna'."
Meanwhile, after debuting with Miss A, Suzy began to try acting and made her acting debut in the teen music drama "Dream High" which aired on KBS from January 3 to February 28. Suzy won the Best New Actress award as well as the Best Couple award with co-star Kim Soo Hyun at the KBS Drama Awards. (wk/aiss)
