Today, June 6, Hanteo Chart Officially Announces That 'Beatbox' Has Sold A total of 848,367 copies in its first week of release (May 30 to June 5).
NCT DREAM recently made a comeback with a repackaged album titled "Beatbox," continuing the success of their second full album, "Glitch Mode." Still in the promotion period, the era of NCT DREAM's comeback this time with "Beatbox" is off to a great start.
On June 6, Hanteo Chart officially announced that "Beatbox" had sold 848,367 copies in its first week of release (May 30 to June 5). While that's a far cry from the incredible first week sales achieved by "Glitch Mode," which sold more than 1.4 million copies in its first week, it's very high for a repackaged album.
To date, the only repackaged album in Hanteo's history that has sold more in the first week is BTS (Bangtan Boys)'s "Love Yourself: Answer". The album achieved 868,052 first-week sales of 2018.
NCT DREAM's album "Beatbox" has yet to beat the record "Love Yourself: Answer". However, this album took second place and sold less than 20,000 thousand copies behind "Love Yourself: Answer".
Meanwhile, "Beatbox" debuted at number 3 on iTunes album charts worldwide and landed at number 14 on iTunes European album charts. The album also reached #1 on iTunes Top Albums chart in 11 countries, including India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, Vietnam, and more, as of May 31 KST. "Beatbox" also managed to land on the US iTunes "Top Album" chart at No. 10.
In particular, the album's title track "Beatbox" also debuted at No. 11 on iTunes song charts worldwide and has reached No. 1 on iTunes' "Top Song" chart in various countries, including Indonesia, Mongolia, Thailand and Vietnam. Furthermore, other songs from the album that charted on iTunes charts worldwide include "To My First" at number 26, "On The Way" at number 29, and "Sorry, Heart" at number 30.
