SBS's newest drama, Today's Webtoon shares photos of the cast's reading process.
Kim Sejeong, Choi Daniel and Nam Yoon Su showed good chemistry during the script reading process.
Launching Soompi, Tuesday (20/06/2022), Today's Webtoon is a South Korean drama which is a remake of the popular Japanese series titled Sleepeeer Hit!
The drama is about On Ma Eum, a former judo athlete who joins the editorial department at Neon Webtoon as a new employee.
He struggles to become a true webtoon editor in the midst of the competitive webtoon industry in South Korea.
Besides Kim Sejeong, Choi Daniel, Nam Yoon Su, the script reading was also attended by other players such as Kim Kap Soo, Park Ho San, Yang Hyun Min, Kang Rae Yeon, Ha Do Kwon, Ha Yul Ri, Ahn Tae Hwan, Highlight's Son Dongwoon, Nam Bora, and more.

Kim Sejeong will play On Ma Eum who gave up on her dream of appearing in the Olympics after struggling with injuries. However, her optimistic attitude led On Ma Eum to switch to Webtoon, which has been an entertainer during her time as an athlete.
In this drama, Kim Sejeong plays the character of an energetic person with an attractive fashion sense. And the people who were present at the reading couldn't help but laugh when they saw the woman displaying a cheerful portrait.
Meanwhile, Choi Daniel takes on the role of Seok Ji Hyung. He is an unexpected deputy editor and On Ma Eum's reliable mentor. With his skill in detail when acting, Choi Daniel amazed the audience and heightened the anticipation of his comeback to the small screen.

On the other hand, Nam Yoon Su will play the role of On Ma Eum's co-worker, Goo Joon Young. He becomes an employee at the company at the same time that On Ma Eum enters. Having an extraordinary IQ of 150, he aims to be the best of the best.
Nam Yoon Su himself plays a role that will impress those around him by showing how the man who doesn't have the slightest flaw transforms into a person with a completely different character.

Additional players still seem to shine in their own way with their acting skills. Park Ho San plays the role of editor-in-chief Jang Man Chul, while Ha Do Kwon plays the role of an ambitious man named Heo Kwan Young who wants the position of executive director at Neon Webtoon. Nam Bora takes on the role of deputy editor-in-chief Jang Hye Mi at Neon Webtoon's competitor, Youngtoon.
Kim Kap Soo plays the role of a sociable senior writer, Baek Eon Jin, who becomes a legend in the Manhwa (Korean Comics) industry. Son Dongwoon plays a writer named Oh Yoon, and Ha Yul Ri plays a star writer in Neon Webtoon with his work Ppomeu, showing a playful side with its editor, Goo Joon Young (Nam Yoon Su).
Kim Sejeong shared her experience when she met her fellow artists while doing a script reading.
“For the first time we got together for rehearsal together, and I was quite nervous as if this was the time we started working on a film. It's really fun even though it's just practice, it looks like when you start filming it will be 100 times more fun," said Sejeong.
The production team also shared their feelings about the drama's production this time.
“We have prepared a heartwarming story so that audiences can enjoy it, including young people who are traveling and trying to realize between dreams and reality as office workers who grow up while seeking strength in each day. Let's see the development of On Ma Eum's character to be supported and connected to the audience's feelings without provocative elements while looking back on our daily lives," he said.
The drama Today's Webteoon is directed by Jo Soo Won, while Kim Young Hwan is writing the script. The drama is scheduled to air on July 29 at 10 p.m. KST followed by the conclusion of Why Her? /celebrities.id
