Recently JTBC uploaded the video "JTALK" featuring an interview with Kang Ha Neul. On this occasion, Kang Ha Neul talked about various interesting things about his role in the drama "Insider".

“Insider” is an action suspense drama about Kim Yo Han (Kang Ha Neul), a young man who works as a judicial intern. He gets involved in an unexpected case while investigating a corrupt prosecutor who makes him a prisoner.

On the other hand, there is an 'underground' businesswoman named Oh Soo Yeon, played by Lee Yoo Young. He was a figure who greatly influenced the business world with connections and money. When he realized Kim Yo Han's extraordinary aspect, he made a bid to achieve his goal.

During the interview, Kang Ha Neul revealed that "Insider" is quite different from his other dramas. Because this drama has a sensation like a big screen movie.

Kang Ha Neul said, "After reading the script, I thought this film was really fun so I tried to read it to the end, but then it said 'Continued in Part II'. At first, I thought I was reading the script for the film. Unlike the previous drama scripts, it feels like a movie."

Kang Ha Neul then talked about the various attractive charms of his character named Kim Yo Han. He explained, "First of all, Kim Yo Han's character can't stand injustice and he's very determined to fix what's wrong."

"I thought he was a character with a fire in his heart but he was able to hide it in a rational way, and live without enthusiasm."

Finally, Kang Ha Neul revealed his main goal is to make viewers understand Kim Yo Han. He explained, "It may not be easy to sympathize with the feelings of a character who never wavered or changed his mind despite adversity."

"There are still many more spectacular and extraordinary things to come. I hope I can play it so that viewers can understand it," concluded Kang Ha Neul.

Meanwhile, "Insider" has recently been involved in a controversy over allegations of insulting Buddhism. The production team was heavily criticized for showing unethical scenes in which a sacred Buddhist temple became an illegal gambling house.

In another scene, a Korean Buddhist monk even gambles with criminals for some money. Unfortunately, this scene was broadcast in a fairly long duration of about 15 minutes. (wk/eval)
