Jiyoon Weekly, a member of a girl band from South Korea, has officially left her group, Weekly.
The fans who heard the news were sad and wondered what caused Jiyoon to leave Weekly.

Reason for Jiyoon's Exit
Responding to the news regarding Jiyoon's departure from Weekly, the IST Entertainment agency announced that Jiyoon was leaving for health reasons.
Before deciding to leave, Jiyoon had time to take a temporary break on August 1, 20221. She had time to continue her practice activities and gigs with her girl band group in December 2021.
However, last February, Jiyoon went on hiatus again due to the anxiety disorder she experienced before celebrating their single album, Play Game: AWAKE.
After that, Jiyoon finally officially left Weekly on June 1, 2022. According to her agency's statement, this decision was with the approval of Jiyoon herself, her family, medical experts, and IST Entertainment.
"We would like to sincerely thank all Dailee (Weekly fans' names) for the great love you have given to Weekly, and we convey this sudden announcement with a heavy heart," the agency wrote.
Furthermore, the agency revealed that Jiyoon's health was a priority.
"We have reached a decision that Jiyoon needs to be in an environment where she can focus on her mental health above all else and that she should continue to focus on receiving treatment."
With Jiyoon's departure from Weekly, the girl band is now continuing their activities with only the six remaining members.
"Jiyoon will officially end her activities as a member of Weekly, and Weekly will continue their journey as a six-member group," the agency wrote.
The agency also apologized for Jiyoon's decision to leave and asked fans to continue to support Weekly.
