'Why Her' Doesn't Just Focus On How Oh Soo Jae Gets Revenge. But This Drama Also Shows The Romance Between Oh Soo Jae And His Student, Gong Chan.
"Why Her" has so far aired four episodes. Even though it's only been broadcast for two weeks, the drama, starring Seo Hyun Jin and Hwang In Yeop, has been able to attract viewers' interest, as evidenced by its rating record.
“Why Her” tells the story of Oh Soo Jae (Seo Hyun Jin), a cold-hearted lawyer who feels empty after only pursuing success, and Gong Chan (Hwang In Yeop), a law student who will do anything to protect him.
For the fourth episode, "Why Her" continued the success streak with the addition of viewers in each episode. According to Nielsen Korea, the fourth episode of the SBS drama scored a rating of 10.1 percent, marking a new record high.
"Why Her" doesn't just focus on how Oh Soo Jae takes revenge on the people who made him lose his position as TK Law Firm's managing partner. But this drama also features the romance between Oh Soo Jae and his student, Gong Chan.
The "Why Her" plot also received a lot of praise from South Korean netizens. Unfortunately the love line between Oh Soo Jae and Gong Chan actually drew criticism and asked the production team to just remove it from the drama plot.
"Seo Hyun Jin is the best, if only there was no love line," wrote a netizen. "Seo Hyun Jin's acting is very immersive, is it in episode 3? If only they got rid of the love line, everything would be perfect. It was fun," added another.
"Take off the love line please. Damn it, what's with that random kiss?" added another netizen. "Let's remove the serious love line, the viewer rating will be higher without it," said another. "Seo Hyunjin's acting is very good. Even though I don't understand the love line," concluded the other netizens.
Meanwhile, for the coming week, Gong Chan will come to the rescue of Oh Soo Jae who was attacked by an unknown man. Fortunately, the woman received immediate medical attention and was able to recover. The upcoming trailer will show how Oh Soo Jae searches for the mastermind behind the man who attacked him.
