Surprising news came from one of Jennie's members, BLACKPINK, who is known to have received an offer from an American pay television channel, HBO, to star in the latest drama.
Reported via TV Daily on June 17, 2022, it was reported that BLACKPINK's Jennie had received an offer to star in the latest drama from HBO, titled The Idol.
The series is known to be the work of Sam Levinson who released a film titled Euphoria, along with The Weeknd, and Reza Fahim. Meanwhile, The Weeknd is also known to be starring in the drama alongside actresses Lily-Rose Depp and Troye Sivan.
The project between Jennie and The Weeknd has been speculated by fans since their meeting in Los Angeles in November 2022.
If the offer to star in the HBO drama titled The Idol is accepted by Jennie, then she will be the second BLACKPINK member to debut as an actress, following Jisoo who had already debuted as an actress through the Disney+ drama titled Snowdrop last year.
