Despite BLACKPINK's Recent Focus On Solo Activities, The Members Seem To Have No Thoughts Of Disbanding And Are Actively Working On The Group's Upcoming Album.
BLACKPINK (Black Pink) has been on a long hiatus which has led some fans to question whether the group, whose contract will be renewed in 2023, will separate and continue to focus on their respective promotions. Lisa answered it in a recent interview.
Despite BLACKPINK's recent focus on solo activities, the members don't seem to have any thoughts of disbanding and are actively working on the group's upcoming album. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Lisa actually brought up disbandment concerns and has officially dismissed rumors about BLACKPINK's future.
"Have you ever wondered what would happen if BLACKPINK ended one day?" asked Rolling Stone. Lisa directly stated that BLACKPINK hadn't even talked about a possible split, saying, "I don't think we even talked about this amongst ourselves."
The Thai idol admitted that BLACKPINK once joked about their future, but far from now, not in the near future. "We jokingly said, 'Jisoo unnie is going to live in Hawaii. Lisa is going back to Thailand,'" he said.
Lisa also shared that she really didn't want to think about their breakup. "...But I don't want to think about the ending. This is too sad," said the youngest member of BLACKPINK.
However, he admitted that even though the members who were actively promoting together would one day come to an end, he hoped that they would still be BLACKPINK and still be able to hold reunion concerts. According to Lisa, BLACKPINK has at least ten more years together.
"One day we'll get married and stuff like that. But then I saw the Spice Girls, how they got together for a reunion concert. Can we do that too someday? Was I able to dance then, like I do now? I mean? , won't BLACKPINK last at least another ten years? We'll be almost 40 by then," said Lisa.
And while Lisa has definitely dismissed rumors about BLACKPINK's disbandment in the near future, she admits that she's not sure what she will be doing in her forties. "I don't know [what I will do in my forties]. I will still have a good vibe, do different things, like now," said Lisa.
For BLACKPINK in the near future, Lisa shared how busy the members are, proving that they are working hard to deliver a lot of content that fans have been waiting for. "[Lately] we all commute from the recording studio, or do our own activities, or go overseas because of fashion. I've been working non-stop for the past week without a break." (wk/goddess)
