The husband and wife couple Kangnam and athlete Lee Sang Hwa always attract attention. This is because the couple had different nationalities, so now Kangnam is officially naturalized to become a South Korean citizen like his wife.
Following the story of the couple's household, Kangnam's mother recently guested on KBS's Cool FM radio show Park Myung Soo. Park Myung Soo asked Kangnam's mother who was previously known to have opposed Kangnam marrying Lee Sang Hwa.
Kangnam's mother also stated that her son-in-law's achievements were too outstanding compared to her son. "Lee Sang Hwa trained hard and became a famous athlete but my son just likes to have fun. I was worried about having an amazing daughter-in-law," said Kangnam's mother.
Kangnam's mother then stated how great daughter-in-law Lee Sang Hwa is. "After their marriage, Lee Sang Hwa was the perfect son-in-law. He did everything perfectly," explained Kangnam's mother praising her son-in-law.
Park Myung Soo then asked one thing that was lacking from Lee Sang Hwa according to Kangnam's mother honestly. However, Lee Sang Hwa's mother-in-law answered him openly.
"To be honest, it's a bit difficult to treat her comfortably. But that doesn't mean she's scary. She's actually very feminine," explained Kangnam's mother. Kangnam's mother then sent a sweet message to her daughter-in-law who won the Olympic gold medal twice.
"Sang Hwa, I know you are suffering because of my childish child. But I am very grateful that you married him. I hope you continue to be happy and live well," said Kangnam's mother to her daughter-in-law.
Meanwhile, Kangnam and Lee Sang Hwa got married in 2019. Kangnam and Lee Sang Hwa are both thriving in the Korean entertainment industry. Lee Sang Hwa is considered a national hero and one of Korea's most accomplished athletes. (wk/taki)
