Jessica released the sequel to her first novel 'Shine' entitled 'Bright.' One part is said to hint at the feud between the two SNSD members and her sister, Krystal.
Jessica Jung's new novel entitled "Bright" is said to hint at the feud between two members of Girls' Generation (SNSD) and Krystal f(x), Jessica's sister.
On May 10, Jessica released the sequel to her first novel "Shine," titled "Bright." In one part, the main character and member of the girl group Girls Forever Rachel is told to bump into her sister Leah backstage.
The two sisters share the same company, with Rachel part of the nine-member girl group mentioned above and Leah a member of the five-member girl group SayGO.
Leah bowed quickly and waved to the Girls Forever members during the event. Most of the members waved back, except for two people, Mina and Lizzie, who just stared at Leah with a sinister smile.
As Rachel pulled Leah aside, she overheard Lizzie and Mina talking badly about her sister. They mocked how he bowed, claiming that he didn't know how to respect his seniors.
Rachel shared that this always happened when Leah interacted with Girls Forever. Some members hated how quickly Leah got into DB Entertainment and debuted. This was because they wished this had happened to their little sister instead of Leah.
It is said that Lizzie has a sister who is a year younger than her, and that she has been trying to get her sister into the company. However, the company never signed him.
Although it has not been confirmed, Jessica's loyal fans believe that Lizzie is based on Tae Yeon, while Mina is based on Sooyoung. But this is only conjecture.
Tae Yeon is known to have a sister who dreams of becoming a singer. The main difference is that Tae Yeon's sister, Hayeon, ended up signing on as a trainee under SM Entertainment in 2015. However, Hayeon left the company and debuted as a soloist under Enterarts in October 2020.
Leah is clearly based on Jessica's little sister, Krystal. This was evident not only because she was the main character's younger sister but because she was in a group of five. When f(x) first debuted, the group consisted of five members.
Leah's trainee period and debut were also based on Krystal. Krystal was scouted by SM Entertainment when she was just five years old. However, the offer was turned down due to her age, and Jessica signed with the label first. When Krystal was 12 years old, she started training and debuted with f(x) three years later.
Due to the similarities, many believe that Jessica is trying to hint at the feud between her groupmates and her younger sister in the past. But again, the identities of the SNSD members mentioned above are just fan speculation. (wk/chus)
