Now that 'Beatbox' has been released, it seems that Jaemin's 'Yum Yum' caption might actually be more distorted than originally thought, especially since there are similar spoilers.
NCT DREAM's Jaemin may have previously provided a bit of a spoiler for “Beatbox,” their latest repackaged album. However, it seems that it didn't go according to plan, as the spoiler from it was completely misunderstood.
Now that NCT DREAM's repackaged album "Beatbox" has been released, fans can hear the full lyrics. It seems that while the lyrics to the title track, "Beatbox," revolve mostly around dancing, the second verse actually makes a lot of reference to snacks.
More specifically, one of Mark Lee's lines reads, "One bite and you're hooked, yum, yum, yum." As many fans saw earlier this month when NCT DREAM went to Germany to appear on "KPop.Flex", Jaemin posted an Instagram Story of his and Renjun's cocktails with the caption "yum yum."
The post caused fans to create a lot of memes about "drunk Jaemin", especially since he looked really tired at Frankfurt Airport the next day. Fans thought that he looked like someone who had finished drinking.
It got to the point where Jaemin himself went online to address the misinterpretation of his Instagram Story. The 2000-born singer politely, but firmly, explained that he was not drunk.
When some fans suggested that "normal drinking suits her better", she explained in the most polite way that she was an adult, and that although she might not like getting drunk, she could enjoy drinking as much as anyone.
Now that "Beatbox" has been released, it seems that Jaemin's misinterpretation of the "yum yum" caption might actually be more off the mark than originally thought, especially since there have been similar spoilers since then. For example, Jaemin's latest Instagram story (uploaded May 30) is a photo of his food with the caption "yum." In addition, NCT DREAM's official Instagram account posted another picture of food recently with the caption "yummm."
All of this led some NCTzens to believe that this might all be related to the spoiler for NCT DREAM's "Beatbox", which made Jaemin's initial interpretation of drunkenness from Long Island Iced Tea even funnier: when Jaemin tried to give a spoiler, everyone was surprised because he was too focused on his drink.
