CLC debuted under CUBE Entertainment in 2015. After the contract with the management ended, a number of members decided to leave and did not renew the contract.

Now, CUBE Entertainment has officially announced the disbandment of CLC. Along with the announcement, the management also decided to close CLC U CUBE.

"First of all, we want to express our gratitude to the fans who for the past 7 years have supported and loved CLC," said CUBE Entertainment.

"Since CLC's official activities have ended, we would like to announce the closure of CLC U CUBE on June 6, 2022. We plan to let fans reread a number of posts so that fans can remember the memories they had with CLC," he continued.

In the statement, CUBE Entertainment also released details of the official closing date and time for CLC U CUBE. Fans can still read and download data from the site until June 5, 2022 at 23:59 South Korean time.

"We want to thank the fans who have supported and loved CLC. In the future, we will continue to provide support to the seven members who are starting a new beginning," he concluded.

CLC debuted as a group with five members, namely Seunghee, Yujin, Seungyeon, Sorn, and Yeeun in 2015. They released their first EP entitled First Love with Pepe as the main song.

In 2016, they introduced two new members, Elkie Chong and Kwon Eun Bin. Since then, they have released a number of hits such as Eighteen, Devil, and Helicopter.

But amid the success of CLC, a number of members decided to leave the group. Elkie left CLC in February 2021, followed by Sorn in November 2021. Seungyeon and Yeeun became the third and fourth members to leave the group. /detik.com
