During Press Conference, Pink Sweat$ Expresses Her Love For Korea And K-Pop. The Rapper Also Shared That He Also Communicates With Many K-Pop Artists.
On May 25, American singer-songwriter Pink Sweat$ held a press conference in Korea at the COEX Intercontinental Hotel in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. At this press conference, he hinted at a collaboration plan with GOT7's BamBam and BLACKPINK's Lisa (Black Pink).
Pink Sweat$ debuted in 2018 and is gaining popularity not only in the United States but also in Korea for its bubbly, sophisticated yet mellow R&B best known for its song, "At My Worst." She is known by her stage name because she is usually seen wearing pink.
During the press conference, Pink Sweat$ expressed her love for Korea and K-pop. The rapper also shared that he also communicates with many K-pop artists.
"I know my popularity in Korea through communicating with K-pop artists. I know my music is liked because I hear, 'Your music is popular in Korea and I can hear it anywhere,' said Pink Sweat$.
In the past, Pink Sweat$ proved its dedication to music and K-pop by collaborating with SEVENTEEN (II), Crush, Jeon Somi, and P1Harmony, continuing its relationship with Korea. When asked if he would like to collaborate with in the future other than those mentioned above, the "Honesty" singer replied, "I want to collaborate with BamBam and Lisa. P1Harmony is also my favorite group."
In fact, he is already in the process of casting BamBam for a collaboration for his future work, adding, "Among K-pop artists, I often communicate with BamBam on SNS. I'm not sure if I will be able to meet other artists due to my current schedule (at Korea), but I'm thinking of visiting this country again next year."
Regarding his view on K-pop, Pink Sweat$ highlighted the charm of this genre by saying, "In my opinion, K-pop is an evolutionary form of video and sound. It consists of many ideals of music that I pursue, very clear, bright, and seeking perfection. ."
On the other hand, Pink Sweat$ visited Korea as the headliner at the "14th Seoul Jazz Festival 2022" which will be held at the lawn of 88 Seoul Olympic Park from May 27 to 29, marking the first visit and performance in Korea. (wk/goddess)
