Korean President-elect Yoon Seok Yol and the Presidential Transitional Commission are discussing BTS' appearance at the inauguration ceremony on May 10.
This was known when Park Jo Sun, the chairman of the inauguration ceremony, appeared on KBS radio 'Joo Jin Woo Live' on April 5. The Presidential Transition Commission also visited the agency of the band BTS, HYBE, on March 2 and discussed ways to develop pop culture.
"We are preparing for the inauguration ceremony in that direction because President-elect Yoon said it is more important to focus on the core content than just looking flashy on the outside," said Park Jo Sun, quoted by Allkpop, Wednesday (6/4/2022).
He (Elect Yoon) humbly upholds the will of the people and always emphasizes the commoners, the weak, the young, and children. He also wants to hold the ceremony (inauguration) in such a way as to allow such people to have dreams. Therefore, he wanted to hold an inauguration for that purpose," he said.
Regarding the former president's attendance, he said his party was watching progress because the president-elect publicly told the press that he would have the opportunity to meet former President Park Geun Hye once before the inauguration ceremony.
"If the invitation to the inauguration ceremony is completed without notice, by the time the invitation is sent, I think I will continue the invitation process politely," he said. /celebrties.id
