BLACKPINK's song also colored the Philippine presidential election campaign. Not for a concert, but BLACKPINK's song was played while the campaign was in progress and made nearly 180 thousand people sing along to their flagship song, 'Kill This Love'.

The Philippines will hold elections on May 9, 2022, and candidates have been campaigning ahead of the election.

Candidates running include Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. (son of former president and dictator Ferdinand Marcos), Leni Robredo (current vice president), and boxer Manny Pacquaio.

Then there is Sara Duterte, daughter of Rodrigo Duterte, the incumbent president. Sara is running for vice president with Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

The story of this BLACKPINK song begins on March 20, 2022. Leni Robredo and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan are campaigning in the Pasig constituency. During the campaign, the song 'Kill This Love' also enlivened the event. The participants joined in singing the song and cheered when Lisa's voice was heard in the first verse of the lyrics "BLACKPINK in your area!"

Fans of the group, Blink, were delighted to see their idol's song played during the big campaign event. The presidential candidate Leni Robredo is indeed known as a lover of K-Pop songs.

He once set Twice's song 'The Feels' to be played while checking the audio during a campaign event in Bacolod City, March 11. Twice's song 'Fancy' was also played during a campaign event in Pasig.

Until now, reported by Koreaboo, Tuesday (22/3/2022) BLACKPINK members have not commented on this. /celebrties.id
