Chaeyoung, Saerom and Gyuri fromis_9 Confirmed Positive for COVID-19

Three personnel from the girl group fromis_9, Chaeyoung, Saerom and Gyuri received positive COVID-19 test results.

The news was delivered directly through an official announcement released by PLEDIS Entertainment on Sunday (06/03).

At first, PLEDIS Entertainment reported that Chaeyoung had tested positive, after experiencing symptoms of cough, sore throat and low-grade fever. He immediately stopped all activities and is currently resting at home.

Shortly after, the PCR test results for all fromis_9 members came out and two other members, Saerom and Gyuri, got positive test results. Both are reported to have only mild symptoms and are currently resting at home.

The following is an official statement from the PLEDIS Entertainment agency:

"Hello. This is PLEDIS Entertainment.

We would like to provide you with some information about members fromis_9, Lee Saerom and Jang Gyuri who were diagnosed with COVID-19 as well as changes in their activities.

Lee Saerom and Jang Gyuri took the self-test as a proactive measure and tested positive with the self-test kit on Saturday, March 5. They immediately did a PCR test and confirmed positive for COVID-19 on Sunday, March 6. Lee Saerom is currently showing no symptoms other than a cough and sore throat, and Jang Gyuri is also not showing any symptoms other than a sore throat. They both do treatment at home.

All of the fromis_9 members apart from Lee Seoyeon and Lee Chaeyoung took a self-test on Saturday, March 5, all of which were negative and did not show any symptoms.

Therefore, it will be difficult for Lee Saerom and Jang Gyuri to participate in fromis_9's activities for a while. We will provide updates regarding the resumption of their activities.
