A large forest fire broke out on Korea's east coast on a mountain near the seaside city of Uljin in North Gyeongsang Province on Friday, March 4. The fire then spread to the nearby city of Samcheok in Gangwon Province and has destroyed more than a hundred homes and evacuated thousands of people.
As an agency where many famous celebrities and idols are sheltered, YG Entertainment also distributed large amounts of aid. This label from BLACK PINK et al has donated 500 million won or around Rp. 5.8 billion through The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association.
The donation given by YG Entertainment is expected to help recover from forest fires in Uljin, Gyeongbuk and Samcheok, Gangwon. According to Hope Bridge, YG Entertainment made a donation to help the fire victims, saying, "We hope it will help the affected families."
"I like YG, it's short, solid, not long-winded. YG & their artists regularly donate, but rarely go to the media, aka they just keep quiet, it seems like it's become a routine," commented the netter. "YG also has regular donations for the underprivileged, but they don't want to be in the media and it's enough for those who know," said another. "Waiji usually also gives donations, but it's really closed. Hopefully YG will get better in the future," concluded another.
