7 Kpop Idol Documentary Films, Reviewing the Other Side of an Idol

Through a Kpop Idol documentary, fans can find out what goes on behind the scenes and the idol's real life. They have to go through a period of hard training, struggle to get to the position after debut.

Since 2012, companies in Korea have started to innovate by presenting concert films and K-Pop documentaries in wide screen format. Not only broadcast in South Korean cinemas, these films are also marketed to various parts of the world, including Indonesia.

1. Blackpink: Light Up the Sky (2020)

Produced by Caroline Suh, Blackpink: Light Up the Sky is the first documentary film starring Blackpink. The story of Jennie and her friends from their debut in 2016 until their group successfully performed at Coachella 2019 is highlighted in this film.

Not only that, this film also follows the recording process of The Album and also leaks preparations for the solo debut of one of its members, Rosé. In addition to Blackpink: Light Up the Sky, their second documentary, entitled Blackpink the Movie, will air in August 2021.

2. BTS: Burn the Stage (2018)

'BTS' is currently a popular boyband after successfully achieving various fantastic achievements. The film BTS: Burn the Stage tells the journey of 'BTS' with their world tour, entitled Wings Tour.

3. Big Bang: Made the Movie (2016)

4. Twiceland: Twice Movie (2018)

Twiceland features never-before-seen clips from Twice's international tour of various countries.

5. Seventeen: Hit The Road (2020)

Seventeen also has a documentary that shows the struggles of their early careers until they were at the peak of their success titled Seventeen: Hit The Road.

Unlike other K-Pop idols, Seventeen: Hit The Road was not released in theaters, but was shown on YouTube and WeVerse.

6. Grow: Infinite's Real Youth Life (2014)

Infinite is a boy group that debuted in 2010 under Woollim Entertainment. Infinite debuted with 7 members, namely, Sunggyu, Dongwoo, Woohyun, Sungyeol, L, Hoya, and Sungjong. But in 2017 Hoya left the group.

When Infinite was 4 years old since their debut, they released a documentary which was released in 2014. This documentary tells about their moments backstage.

7. The Story of CNBlue – Never Stop (2014)

CNBlue is a band that debuted under FNC Entertainment. The band first debuted in Japan in 2009, then debuted in Korea in 2010. CNBlue debuted with 4 members, namely Yonghwa, Jonghyun, Minhyuk, and Jungshin.

But in 2019 Jonghyun was reported to have left the group. This documentary film released in 2014 features the members' backstage moments during their world tour, their activities in Seoul and activities in Japan. /celebrties.id
