TWICE's Jeongyeon Helped Gong Seung Yeon a lot in character development in 'Bulgasal: Immortal Souls'

In order to fully explore his role in 'Bulgasal: Immortal Souls', Gong Seung Yeon had to ask for help from his younger brother Jeongyeon TWICE. That's what he said.

"Bulgasal: Immortal Souls" has closed its story on Sunday (6/2). The drama, starring Lee Jin Wook, Kwon Nara, Gong Seung Yeon, and others, presents a beautiful and memorable ending for viewers and players alike.

In "Bulgasal: Immortal Souls", Gong Seung Yeon played Dan Sol, the wife of Dan Hwal (Lee Jin Wook) 600 years ago and Min Si Ho, the younger sister of Min Sang Woon (Kwon Nara). And Sol who is reincarnated as Min Si Ho has the power to read the past of a soul. Here, he is caught between the vortex of destiny and karma between two bulgassals who cannot die or be killed, Dan Hwal and Ok Eul Tae (Lee Joon).

In a concluding interview, Gong Seung Yeon discussed how similar she is to her character in the drama. Because he played two characters from different times, TWIC's Jeongyeon brother had his own impression of playing Dan Sol and Min Si Ho.

Dan Sol seems to have the same affection for his family. Even though he looks hateful towards Dan Hwal, but he is full of love and a character who misses his family. Of course, everyone will do it, but I think it's a bit similar to Dan Sol because he has family love. strong," explained Gong Seung Yeon.

Although Gong Seung Yeon feels similar to Dan Sol, it seems that to bring Min Si Ho to life is another matter. He finds it difficult to position himself as the younger sister of an older sister. So he needed to ask a lot of help from his younger siblings, including Jeongyeon, to deepen the role.

"In reality, it's a bit difficult to express the character of Si Ho, as the youngest child when I was the eldest. Also in dramas, Si Ho often nags but I tend to hear a lot of nagging," said Gong Seung Yeon.

Because there is a clear difference between her character and real life, Gong Seung Yeon doesn't hesitate to ask for help to play the younger sister well. Even though he has worked hard, he still leaves the assessment to the viewers.

Gong Seung Yeon said, "There is a difference between reality and character. I remember asking my younger brothers for advice a lot during pre-production and filming. I worked hard, but I don't know if I can see me as a good younger sister.

Meanwhile, "Bulgasal: Immortal Souls" ended with a 5.1 percent rating based on Nielsen Korea. While on Netflix Korea, this drama got the 3rd position and 9th position in Indonesia as of Monday (7/2). (wk/inta)
