Recently, a former 'Running Man' PD appeared on Kim Jong Kook's YouTube video. He talked about many interesting things, including his thoughts on the artist's frugal image.

On Thursday (17/2), Kim Jong Kook uploaded a new video on YouTube with PD Hwan Jin, who previously participated in the production of "Running Man". On this occasion, PD Kim Hwan Jin also discussed Kim Jong Kook's frugal image on the SBS program.

Kim Jong Kook said that he had liked PD Hwan Jin since the first time he worked with him because he shared the same interests. He said, "Because he said he likes MMA (mixed martial arts). So nice to meet you."

"We were playing a game while filming for a show. And wow, she's as tough as paper. I was shocked. Can she be fragile again?" added the man who was born in 1976.

Kim Jong Kook then recalled the fun moment when he went to Universal Studios in America with Haha and Lee Kwang Soo. At that time, Kim Jong Kook was willing to pay dearly for other people.

He revealed, "We got on the Harry Potter rides as soon as we got there, which was the best ride at the time. There were seven of us and I said, 'We have to show them what we got from the seven Asians. We got the best. Express pass.'"

He continued, "And (the price is) 200 thousand won (approximately IDR 2.4 million) per person. I paid for them. Hang IDs around our necks. Then I said, 'You guys are standing in line, we're not'."

After hearing this story, PD Hwan Jin revealed that Kim Jong Kook is actually very generous despite his frugal image in "Running Man". "He looks frugal but I know two people who eat without seeing the price. They are Lee Dong Woo and Jong Kook. Lee Dong Woo is my father," he concluded.

Meanwhile, Kim Jong Kook debuted as a member of the duo Turbo in 1995. As a solo singer, he has released many hits including "One Man". In July last year, he opened the YouTube channel "GYM JONG KOOK" to share tips about sports. (wk/eval)
