Karina's Estimated Net Worth, Turns Out Not The Richest Aespa Member

Debuted in less than two years, Karina Aespa has established her position as one of the top fourth generation K-Pop idols. What is his estimated net worth in January 2022?

With aespa's global popularity and success, many are curious as to how much coffers Karina has accumulated since her debut. So is he the richest member in the group?

Karina became very popular after debuting as a leader, main dancer, lead rapper, and visual from aespa in November 2020. Although she has only been active in the entertainment industry for less than two years, Karina has established her position as one of the top fourth-generation K-Pop idols.

According to media outlets, such as Korean Mag, Karina is estimated to have a net worth of around USD 1 million as of January 2022. This is already a remarkable net worth figure considering Karina has only been in the industry for less than two years.

According to reports, Karina is not the richest aespa member, as the richest currently is Ningning, who is estimated to have USD 1.5 million (approximately IDR 21.6 billion). While Winter and Giselle are estimated to have earned USD 1.2 million and USD 1 million, respectively.

Like the majority of K-Pop idols, most of Karina's net worth is earned through her promotions and activities with aespa. But before debuting, Karina had appeared in SHINee's Taemin's music video for his song "Want" in 2019, as well as appearing with him for several weeks on music programs.

Aespa's debut was arguably a big event for SM Entertainment, as they were the first girl group the label launched since Red Velvet in 2014.

After debuting aespa in 2020, the four-member girl group went on to become one of the biggest debuts of their generation, with "Black Mamba" landing at No. 1 on various domestic and international music charts.

aespa later saw global popularity, and eventually became one of the top fourth generation girl groups for their music releases, commercial contracts, television appearances, and more.

In addition, "Next Level" and "Savage," also achieved success both domestically and internationally. "Next Level" received platinum certification by the Korea Music Content Association (KMCA) for having more than 100 million streams. Meanwhile "Savage" received double platinum certification for selling over 500,000 album copies.

Karina is also part of SM Entertainment's supergroup Girls on Top: GOT The Beat, along with fellow Winter, BoA, Girls' Generation's Tae Yeon and Hyoyeon, as well as Red Velvet's Seulgi and Wendy.

Apart from music releases, aespa has also bagged several endorsements from well-known brands, such as Clio, Mediheal, KB Kookmin Bank, Eider, Acqua di Parma, and became the first K-Pop ambassador for the luxury brand Givenchy.

With promotions and activities with aespa, it's no wonder that Karina was able to amass the net worth she has today. What do you think? (wk/chus)
